December Excursion: The Village
Hi all! This is Meghan. I will be driving the December excursion plot while Trek is on a much-needed vacation. (Be gentle, please.) Okay, Let's get right to it!
Starting in Mid-November, a sign-up sheet will appear at Friday's desk. It reads as follows: Want to get away? Book your vacation now! Hope to be seeing you! No other information is given. Not even a danger rating. Who knows, it could be another nice resort, just like that last one... oh wait. Never mind, don't worry about that!
If your characters sign up, they will be automatically transported to The Village overnight on November 30th. The event will be running From Dec 1st - Dec 23 Incly (and oocly. I'd like to have time for family stuff over Christmas and New Year's, but as always people are welcome to backdate and continue to play.) Anyone who signs up will be trapped in this realm for the entirety of the plot. Your Excursion host for this realm will be Number 2, the leader of The Village. This is his account, which I will be using to publish all event-relevant posts and tags.
I'll be around to answer any and all other questions you may have. Looking forward to torturing you all! Mwahaha. Now we just have to see if your characters can work together to find a way to defeat Number 2 and his henchmen to win their escape, or will they just barely manage to hold on until the Serena Eterna can return to rescue them?

So, what's it all about? Here, have a bulleted list!
- The Village is very small, only the size of a resort. It has all of the amenities shown on THIS MAP
- The Village is guarded by Rovers that are impervious to violence but are sentient enough to sometimes be confused or fooled.
- All the "Fridays" in this world look like the mute Butler played by Angelo Muscat.
- Every new Villager awakens in a personal cottage that is identical in interior design to a place they used to call home. It's only like that on the inside. The outside matches the aesthetics of the rest of The Village.
- Everyone awakens wearing some form of hideous Prisoner outfit including a Number Badge that has their number on it (which will act as their name in The Village.) Players declare what their number is when they sign up for the plot. (Cannot be 1, 6, or 2.)
- They arrive with none of their personal belongings, except for their ship phones (With exceptions for characters who need accommodations for disabilities. You can keep your cane if you're blind, etc.) Weapons are strictly prohibited.
- Alcohol/recreational drugs do not exist in The Village but anyone can smoke cigarettes or cigars. (Even the minors!)
- There is no escape. If someone tries to go beyond the bounds of The Village they are issued a "yellow alert" and warned to turn back over loudspeaker. If they persist, an "orange alert" is called and a Rover is deployed to stop them.
- There is a strict 10 PM curfew and no one is allowed outside after hours (or a Rover will come for them). Sleepovers are not allowed. Everyone has to be in their own cottage by 10 PM.
- There are NPC villagers. Some of them are wardens, some are prisoners, and it's not always clear who is who.
- Everyone is under surveillance at all times including inside their cottages but there ARE ways to block or evade the video/listening devices if players are clever.
- If a Villager refuses to come out of their home during the day when summoned or if they try to hide in there for too long NPC goons may come drag them out.
- Some Villager NPCs may hold jobs but Number 2 has done away with the credit system, everything is free.
- The water and food may be drugged or contaminated at any time (at player's discretion)
- Number 2 may call a character in for interrogations (A variety of physical/mental tortures at player discretion) in order to get "information" from them. That information is their greatest fear, greatest desire, and greatest regret. Please copy these sections from your app into your sign-up, or write a fresh one if those priorities have changed. It will give me more to work with.
- Some character's powers will be nerfed while they are in the Village. I want to be lenient and not take everything away, but all powers will be substantially weaker here, and certain magics or abilities that would make your character impossible to capture or contain will be either fully or partially nerfed. For instance, to pick on Ava, she won't be able to walk through any of the walls in The Village. I'm trusting people to limit themselves in a way that keeps this fun for everyone.
- Characters will also encounter a barrier much like the one around the Serena Eterna if they travel too far out to sea or into the forest, assuming they evade the Rovers long enough. There won't be any escape by air, land, or sea.
- People who die in The Village revive the very next morning. Did you think it would be that easy to get out of this? There will be no death taxes on this excursion.
- There will be a special opt-in for a secondary part of this plot that is separate from the excursion sign-up.

Now we just have to see if your characters can work together to find a way to defeat Number 2 and his henchmen to win their escape, or will they just barely manage to hold on until the Serena Eterna can return to rescue them?
